The author has reviewed some articles about the establishment of therapeutic relationship and the influences of the extra-analytic contacts on therapeutic relationship in psychoanalysis. To establish the sound therapeutic relationship. The
analyst
must
not be a real object to the patient and he must establish and maintain the ground and boundaries of analytic setting and analytic interactions. Extra-analytic contacts can have influences on the process of analysis, If the analyst can deal with
that
problem properly, he can help the patient realize his basic problems, but if he cannot deal with that problem properly, negative therapeutic outcome would be resulted.
